Head of Academics

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and enforce clear QA rubrics (delivery, engagement, classroom management, assessment).
• Conduct routine live/recorded class audits; deliver 1:1 feedback and improvement plans.
• Calibrate evaluators so tutor scoring is consistent and fair across the board.
• Maintain academic SOPs (lesson plans, briefings, attendance, assessment workflow).
• Map age-appropriate learning outcomes for 1013, 1417, and 1823; priority: 1114.
• Design scope & sequence, lesson plans, activities, and assessment rubrics.
• Run pre/post assessments; use data to iterate content for continuous improvement.
• Plan ongoing training: micro-teaching, peer review, lesson study, and clinics.
• Diagnose tutor needs from audit data; track growth and close competency gaps.
• Set clear teaching standards and model best-in-class facilitation techniques.
• Drive NPS/CSAT surveys and feedback loops; execute quick fixes where needed.
• Provide concise progress reports that highlight tangible skill development.

Job Requirements:

• Fluent English (spoken & written).
• Proven expertise in speaking skills: public speaking, presentation, argumentation, storytelling, voice & body language.
• Strong advantage: 2+ years teaching and/or designing curriculum for ages 1114.
• 35+ years in teaching quality, curriculum design, or teacher development (school, training center, or edtech).
• Solid pedagogy for teens, assessment-for-learning, and active classroom techniques.
• Data-literate (Google Sheets/Excel), meticulous documentation, high ownership.
• Willing to work fully onsite in Jakarta and support occasional weekend events.
