YEAH! Group is launching a new Chinese-style hotpot restaurant in Bintan and is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen setup and operations. You will develop a hotpot restaurant concepts, build and manage the team, and ensure consistent quality. This role plays a key part in establishing a strong kitchen foundation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the kitchen setup
- Develop & standardize hotpot broths, sauces, and menu items
- Establish kitchen SOP, hygiene standards, and workflow
- Manage food cost, portion control, and inventory
- Train & supervise kitchen staff
- Ensure consistency in food quality & presentation
- Work closely with management on menu development and kitchen operations
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Chinese cuisine, preferably hotpot or Sichuan-style
- Proven experience as Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Leader
- Strong knowledge of broth preparation, sauce bases, and hotpot ingredients
- Good understanding of food cost control and kitchen operations
