JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Handyman
BUSINESS UNIT: Work Dynamics
REPORTING TO: Facilities Coordinator
DIRECT REPORT POSITIONS: None
POSITION GOAL
To support day-to-day operations of office and laboratory facilities by performing basic troubleshooting and ensuring smooth execution of routine maintenance in line with client standards and safety protocols.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Technical Maintenance:
- Perform basic troubleshooting of common electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues in office and lab areas
- Read simple electrical and HVAC schematics; perform voltage checks and thermostat adjustments
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of shared lab and office utility spaces
Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure all work permits, access logs, and onboarding documentation for vendor personnel are properly processed and filed
- Support documentation of operational records, including vendor work reports and inspection logs
- Conduct routine facility checks and report anomalies or safety concerns to the Facilities Coordinator immediately
Safety and Emergency Preparedness:
- Assist in site emergency drills, particularly for DG warehouse and oven room areas
- Follow Henkel site regulations and safety standards during all activities
- Maintain basic understanding of chemical storage safety and general lab environment protocols
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES
- Timeliness and accuracy in reporting and resolving routine facility issues.
- Compliance with Henkel site regulations and safety standards during all activities.
- Responsiveness and coordination efficiency with internal teams and external vendors.
- Contribution to client satisfaction through reliable daily operations support.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or technical certificate in electrical, mechanical, or facilities-related field.

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in office or light industrial facility operations
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of chemical storage safety and general lab environment protocols
- Ability to read simple electrical and HVAC schematics
- Experience with voltage checks and thermostat adjustments
- Proficient in using mobile reporting tools or CMMS for work order updates
Language Skills:
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Able to interact professionally with vendors and clients
Work Arrangement:
- Willingness to work on-site with flexible hours as required by operational needs
- Based in Semarang, Indonesia
