The Role

This is not a run the playbook role. There is no playbook yet. You will help build it.

Gabo currently relies mostly on outbound sales. Your job is to build the marketing engine that brings qualified leads to us consistently.

You will own lead generation across inbound, content, paid social, community, partnerships, referrals, and offline activations. The goal is simple: generate high-quality leads that turn into real sales conversations, paid customers, and repeatable growth channels.

This is a hands-on role. You will work directly with the founders and sales team to understand what customers care about, test channels quickly, create campaigns, track results, and double down on what works.

You should be comfortable moving fast, writing copy, launching campaigns, talking to customers, managing partners, reviewing numbers, and figuring things out from zero.

What You'll Do

Lead Generation (Primary Focus)

• Build and own the inbound lead engine from zero — content, paid social, community,

and SEO

• Develop a partner and reseller channel: digital agencies, POS providers, fintech

platforms, and industry associations serving Indonesian SMBs

• Run WhatsApp and Instagram-native marketing campaigns that mirror how our product

works

• Identify and activate 3–5 high-performing partner channels in the first 90 days

Positioning & Messaging

• Sharpen Gabo's positioning per vertical (salons, clinics, F&B, property) based on

customer interviews

• Develop messaging in Bahasa Indonesia that resonates with local business owners —

not tech-speak

• Build a case study and testimonial engine using early customers

Channel & Campaign Execution

• Run paid and organic campaigns on Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp

• Plan and execute offline activations — trade events, local business communities, UMKM

expos

• Own the content calendar and distribution across all channels

Analytics & Iteration

• Track lead volume, quality, and conversion rates weekly

• Kill what doesn't work fast, double down on what does

• Report directly to the founders with clear metrics and learnings

What We're Looking For

• 3–6 years of marketing or growth experience, with at least one early-stage startup in

your background

• Proven experience marketing to Indonesian SMBs — you understand how they think

and how they buy

• Hands-on channel experience: you've run WhatsApp, Instagram, or TikTok campaigns

yourself (not just managed an agency)

• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; strong written communication skills

• You've owned a number — leads, pipeline, or revenue — not just a set of activities

Strong Plus

• Previous experience at companies like Kata.ai, Qiscus, Moka, Majoo, BukuWarung,

Xendit, or similar SMB-focused tech companies

• Experience building or activating a partner/reseller channel

• Familiarity with conversational AI, chatbots, or automation tools

• Experience running offline events or community activations for SMB audiences

• Are more comfortable in brand/awareness work than in pipeline-driven marketing

• Have only worked at large, established companies with structured marketing functions
