Job Description

We only receive applicant who fills the form we provide. Read every single word of the description below:

The Growth & Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting opportunities that contribute to Suarise's business growth, financial sustainability, strategic partnerships, and broader ecosystem impact.

This is not a conventional sales role. While the position involves generating leads, developing prospects, and supporting the sales pipeline, the role also covers strategic partnerships, sponsorships, grant opportunities, CSR collaborations, ecosystem engagement, and new business or revenue channels.

The role requires someone who can move between commercial opportunities and impact-oriented opportunities, from selling accessibility consulting services to identifying a potential funding opportunity, developing a partnership with an institution, even SaaS to co-designing an initiative with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and develop potential clients for Suarise's accessibility consulting, assessment, research, training, and other professional services.
  • Build and manage a qualified business development pipeline, from lead generation and outreach to proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Develop approaches and strategies to open new markets, client segments, and revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients to identify opportunities for repeat engagements and long-term collaboration.

2. Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development

  • Identify and build strategic partnerships with companies, technology organizations, universities, NGOs, disability organizations, government institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop partnership concepts that create value for both Suarise and its partners.
  • Represent Suarise in external meetings, networking opportunities, industry events, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Support or lead partnership initiatives from initial outreach through execution and follow-up.

3. Fundraising, Grants & Sponsorships

  • Identify relevant grant, sponsorship, CSR, and other funding opportunities aligned with Suarise's mission and programs.
  • Develop funding concepts, proposals, budgets, and supporting materials together with relevant internal teams.
  • Manage communication and follow-up with funders, sponsors, and potential funding partners.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential funding opportunities rather than relying solely on individual calls for proposals.

4. New Business & Revenue Development

  • Explore new business models, products, services, licensing opportunities, and other potential revenue channels.
  • Assess market needs and translate emerging opportunities into viable business or partnership concepts.
  • Work with Suarise's team to validate, develop, and test new commercial or impact-oriented initiatives.
  • Where relevant, co-design programs or initiatives with partners based on shared objectives and available resources.

5. Growth Strategy & Opportunity Development

  • Analyze market, client, partnership, and funding opportunities to identify areas for growth.
  • Develop hypotheses and test different approaches to outreach, acquisition, partnership development, and revenue generation.
  • Track opportunities, conversion, revenue potential, partnership outcomes, and other relevant growth indicators.
  • Turn market and stakeholder insights into actionable recommendations for Suarise's growth strategy.

6. Project & Proposal Management

  • Manage small- to medium-scale business development, partnership, fundraising, or growth initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, budgets, timelines, and other materials required for opportunities.
  • Ensure follow-ups, deliverables, and stakeholder communication are handled consistently and on time.
  • Prepare clear reports and updates on pipeline, opportunities, progress, and outcomes.

What Makes This Role Different

A conventional B2B sales role may focus primarily on:

Find leads → Pitch services → Close deals → Manage accounts

At Suarise, the growth function is broader:

Identify opportunities → Build relationships → Develop partnerships → Secure resources → Create value → Build sustainable growth

This means the role may involve selling a professional service one day, developing a corporate partnership the next, preparing a grant proposal, exploring a CSR collaboration, or representing Suarise in an ecosystem discussion.

You do not need to be an expert in every channel from day one. What matters is the ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, develop a compelling proposition, and move an opportunity forward.

Key Qualifications

These are the core capabilities we are looking for:

  • Business development or sales experience, particularly in developing leads, opportunities, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and build trust with different types of stakeholders.
  • Opportunity identification & strategic thinking, able to identify potential clients, partners, funding opportunities, and new business channels.
  • Strong communication and proposal-writing skills, with the ability to turn an idea or opportunity into a clear and compelling proposition.
  • Pipeline & follow-up discipline, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities, relationships, and timelines simultaneously.
  • Initiative and ownership, comfortable taking an opportunity from initial research and outreach through development, coordination, and follow-up.
  • Commercial awareness, with the ability to understand value, pricing, revenue potential, and mutually beneficial business arrangements.
  • Ability to work independently in a small team, while knowing when to collaborate, ask for support, or bring in other Suarise team members.

Good to Have

You do not need to come with experience in all of these areas. We value people who are curious, resourceful, and able to learn across different types of opportunities.

  • Experience in strategic partnerships, sponsorships, CSR programs, or ecosystem development.
  • Experience identifying or developing grant proposals and fundraising opportunities, particularly with foundations or international organizations.
  • Experience working with corporates, government institutions, NGOs, universities, technology companies, or social-impact organizations.
  • Experience developing new products, services, business models, licensing opportunities, or other revenue channels.
  • Experience representing an organization in external meetings, conferences, networking events, or stakeholder discussions.
  • Familiarity with CRM, sales pipeline, project management, digital marketing, or analytics tools.
  • Experience in social impact, accessibility, disability inclusion, technology, or related fields.
  • Understanding of B2B sales, consulting, professional services, or SaaS/business models.
  • Experience co-designing programs, initiatives, or proposals with external partners.
  • A strong existing professional or ecosystem network that could support business development, partnerships, or fundraising.
