Role Summary
As a Graphic Designer (Apparel-Focused) at BizkutSG, you will be responsible for creating high-quality design assets specifically for performance and sportswear apparel. This role requires a strong understanding of both visual design principles and how designs are applied onto garments, ensuring that artwork translates effectively from concept to final production.
The role is open to candidates from two backgrounds:
- Apparel Designers with experience in sportswear or production, or
- Graphic Designers with strong fundamentals and Adobe Illustrator expertise who are willing to transition into apparel design
You will work on developing graphics, patterns, and garment visuals that align with the brand's identity, while also considering technical aspects such as garment construction, panel layouts, and production requirements. This role requires attention to detail, structured workflow, and the ability to create designs that are not only visually appealing but also production-ready.
Key Responsibilities
A. Apparel & Graphic Design
- Create design concepts for sportswear and performance apparel
- Develop graphics, patterns, and visual elements that can be applied across garments
- Design artwork that integrates seamlessly across different garment panels
B. Technical & Production Preparation
- Prepare production-ready design files (e.g. Illustrator files, tech packs, or final artwork files)
- Ensure designs are aligned with garment construction and production requirements
- Consider factors such as fit, function, and fabric behavior in design execution
C. Pattern & Visual Development
- Create seamless patterns, repeating motifs, and multi-panel compositions
- Ensure artwork is adaptable and scalable across different apparel formats
D. Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with internal teams to refine and execute design concepts
- Communicate design decisions clearly and incorporate feedback
- Maintain organized design files and ensure consistency across projects
Requirements & Qualifications
A. Core Design Competencies
- Strong foundation in composition, layout, typography, and color balance
- Ability to create cohesive designs by combining multiple visual elements
- Strong eye for detail, alignment, and overall visual consistency
B. Apparel Understanding (Preferred)
- Understanding of garment construction, panel mapping, and fit/function (for apparel designers)
- Interest and willingness to learn apparel design (for graphic designers transitioning into the field)
C. Work Approach & Mindset
- High attention to detail (understanding that small errors impact production)
- OrganiZed and structured workflow with proper file management
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for final output quality
- Open to feedback, learning, and continuous improvement

Preferred Key Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (critical requirement)
- Strong vector design skills, including clean line work and scalable artwork
- Experience with: Layering and file structuring, Clipping masks, patterns, and repeat designs, File organisation for production use
- Ability to create: Seamless patterns, Repeating motifs, Multi-panel garment artwork
- Understanding of production file preparation (e.g. tech packs, final artwork files) is a strong advantage
- Basic familiarity with apparel production workflows is a plus
