Job Description

What You'll Do

  • Represent the company, under power of attorney, before government agencies: tax office (KPP/DJP), Customs (Bea Cukai), Ministry of Investment/BKPM, Manpower Office, regional government, and others as needed.
  • Prepare for every summons or meeting: gather documents, coordinate with internal departments and external consultants (tax, customs broker, legal counsel).
  • After each meeting, deliver a written report in Mandarin/English covering the outcome, commitments made, and deadlines, then follow up until the matter is resolved.
  • Maintain the company's compliance calendar and key legal documents (NIB, OSS-RBA permits, licenses).
  • Monitor regulatory changes in tax, customs, and investment, and explain their practical impact to management.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Taxation, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in government relations, legal, tax, or customs compliance, with direct experience representing a company before government agencies (audits, inspections, clarification meetings).
  • Must be able to speak english.
  • Strong expertise in at least one of tax, customs, or corporate legal, with solid understanding of the other two.
  • Holds, or is willing to obtain, the certification needed to act as a tax proxy (e.g., Brevet / SKT).
  • Experience in a Chinese-invested company in Indonesia is strongly preferred.
  • Composed under pressure, diplomatic, and discreet, with high integrity and a commitment to transparent, compliant dealings with officials.
  • Able to attend agency offices on short notice.
