Golang developer

Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Go using the Gin framework
2. Model and optimize data access layers with GORM and/or SQLX, including raw SQL when performance requires it
3. Design schemas, write migrations, and tune queries across PostgreSQL and MongoDB
4. Implement durable, long-running business processes as Temporal workflows and activities including retries, timeouts, compensation logic, and idempotency
5. Build asynchronous, event-driven services using message queues (RabbitMQ / Kafka / NATS / Redis Streams)producers, consumers, dead-le er handling, and backpressure
6. Write unit and integra on tests; participate in code review
7. Instrument services with structured logging, metrics, and tracing; help debug production incidents
8. Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps on API contracts and deployment

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, DataScience, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• 1–3 years writing Go professionally (internships and serious side projects count toward the lower end)
• Working knowledge of goroutines, channels, context, and Go's error handling — not just syntax, but when concurrency helps and when it hurts
• Built REST APIs with Gin, Echo, Fiber, or Chi
• Comfortable with an ORM (GORM ideally) and able to write plain SQL when needed
• Solid PostgreSQL fundamentals: joins, transac ons, indexes, and why a query is slow
• Git and basic Docker g. Reads documentation independently and asks good questions when stuck

Secondary Qualifications

• SQLX or other non-ORM database libraries
• MongoDB — document modeling, aggregation pipelines
• Any message queue: RabbitMQ, Kafka, NATS, Redis Streams
• Temporal, or any workflow/orchestration engine
• gRPC, Redis, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
• Personal projects or open-source contributions in Go
