PT. Indexim Coalindo is looking for a seasoned mining leader to take on the role of GM Technical Services, based in Jakarta Head Office. This is a critical leadership position for a high-caliber professional with deep expertise in technical mining functions, strong business acumen, and a proven track record in driving mine planning excellence, operational optimization, and technical governance within a coal mining environment.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead the company's Technical Services function strategically and ensure strong alignment between technical planning, operational delivery, and long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the full spectrum of Technical Services, including mine planning, geology, survey, drill & blast, reconciliation, and scheduling.
- Develop and drive strategic technical plans to support production targets, reserve optimization, operational efficiency, and sustainable business growth.
- Ensure the delivery of robust short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts in line with company objectives.
- Provide technical direction to optimize mine design, pit sequencing, coal recovery, stripping ratio, and overall mining performance.
- Ensure high standards in geological modeling, reserve/resource evaluation, reconciliation, and technical reporting accuracy.
- Partner closely with Operations and cross-functional leadership teams to align technical decisions with operational and commercial priorities.
- Identify technical risks, constraints, and opportunities, and translate them into actionable strategies that improve performance and reduce business exposure.
- Ensure compliance with applicable mining regulations, internal standards, and technical governance requirements.
- Lead, strengthen, and develop a high-performing Technical Services team to support both current operations and future business needs.
- Provide executive-level technical recommendations and insights to senior management in support of decision-making and business planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the mining industry, with strong exposure to coal mining operations.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role within Technical Services, Mine Planning, or related technical functions.
- Proven experience leading integrated technical teams in a complex mining operation.
- Strong expertise in mine planning, geology, survey, drill & blast, reconciliation, and production optimization.
- Strong understanding of open pit coal mining, mine economics, and technical performance drivers.
- Demonstrated ability to convert technical analysis into practical and commercially sound decisions.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian mining regulations and reporting requirements.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capability.
- Proficiency in relevant mining software and planning tools.
