About the Role
PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our organization as Global Strategy Head.
This role is responsible for shaping and driving Danamon's global strategic agenda through close collaboration with MUFG and MUFG partner banks, while strengthening strategic communication with key stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a critical role in formulating business strategies, leading cross-functional initiatives, fostering strategic alliances, and supporting the continued growth and transformation of the Bank.
The position requires a highly collaborative leader with strong strategic thinking capabilities, extensive banking industry experience, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments across different cultures and organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Business Growth
- Develop, drive, and monitor Danamon's strategic initiatives to support sustainable business growth and long-term corporate objectives.
- Formulate and oversee the execution of global collaboration strategies, particularly involving MUFG and MUFG partner banks.
- Identify and recommend strategic opportunities that enhance business performance, market positioning, and organizational effectiveness.
Stakeholder & Strategic Communications
- Support the Global Alliance Strategy Director in establishing and executing strategic communications with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, media representatives, investors, and business partners.
- Align communication strategies across key functions, including CFO Office, Marketing & Communications, and Human Capital.
- Build strong relationships and alignment among diverse stakeholders to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
Partnership & Collaboration Management
- Lead strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives involving business units and support functions.
- Drive collaboration and synergy across Danamon, MUFG, partner banks, regulators, and other external stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective decision-making and stakeholder alignment in complex and dynamic environments.
Organizational Development & Culture
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive working environment that balances Japanese and Indonesian corporate cultures.
- Contribute to strengthening organizational capabilities to support the expanding scope of Danamon-MUFG collaboration initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the banking industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Planning and/or Financial Planning.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Planning, Corporate Strategy, Business Transformation, or related functions.
- Proven track record in leading strategic initiatives and managing senior-level stakeholder relationships.
- Experience working within multinational, regional, or matrix organizations is highly preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree from a reputable university in any discipline.
- Master's Degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
