Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Geophysical Data Processor to join our Analytical Services team. This role is responsible for providing 24/7 microseismic data services to mining clients around the world. The successful candidate will develop expertise in seismic and microseismic data processing, troubleshoot technical issues, and help deliver high-quality reporting and client support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform seismic and microseismic data processing for a variety of projects.
  • Monitor events and ensure alerts are issued in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual reports.
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance reviews.
  • Troubleshoot processing, reporting, and client-related issues.
  • Create, maintain, and update automated reporting presets.
  • Revise and update project processing configuration (PRC) files as required.
  • Identify, document, and submit software bugs through Bugzilla.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through lean management principles.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities, including timesheets, expenses, and other required documentation.
  • Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned.

Schedule

This position operates on a 7-day rotation schedule based on company needs. Shifts may be scheduled Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday, on either a local morning or afternoon shift.

Qualifications

  • University or college degree in Geophysics, Geology, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience & Skills

  • Experience working with seismic or microseismic data is considered an asset.
  • Fluent English(verbal and written) is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive analytical tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets.
  • Hardware and/or electrical instrumentation experience is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
