Position Overview
This is a full-time, on-site General Practitioner (GP) role based at Aspen Medical Hospital in Depok. The GP at Aspen Medical Hospital Depok plays a central role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary and emergency care. Operating with a modern, international-standard healthcare facility, the GP is responsible for diagnosing, managing, and treating a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions for both ambulatory and emergency patients. The position works collaboratively with multi-disciplinary clinical teams, specialists, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless clinical care pathways, adherence to patient safety protocols, and compliance with Indonesian healthcare regulations and hospital accreditation standards.

Ensure 100% compliance with hospital medical records standards (including Electronical Medical Records/EMR), active practice licensing (STR & SIP), and national hospital accreditation guidelines (STARKES)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
A. Direct Patient Care & Clinical Management
- Conduct comprehensive clinical consultations, physical examinations, and medical histories for outpatient and emergency room (IGD) patients.
- Order, interpret and analyze diagnostic tests (radiology, laboratory, ECG) to formulate accurate diagnoses and evidence-based management plans.
- Perform essential outpatient and emergency clinical procedures (e.g., wound care/suturing, IV access, airway management, basic immobilization)
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses, prescribe appropriate pharmacotheraphy, and educate patients on preventive care and treatment compliance.
B. Emergency & Critical Care Management
- Provide immediate triage, resuscitation, and stabilization for emergency patients arriving at the Emergency Department.
- Lead initial emergency interventions during medical crises within the hospital using established life support protocols.
C. Coordination & Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Coordinate appropriate and timely referrals to specialist consultant for complex medical cases requiring specialized care.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, allied health professionals, pharmacy, and diagnostic departments to streamline patient care workflows.
- Prepare detailed discharge summaries, transfer notes, and referral documents to ensure seamless transitions of care.
D. Medical Records, Compliance & Governance
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of all patient encounters in the hospital's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Adhere strictly to hospital clinical guidelines, infection control protocols, medical ethics, and patient confidentiality standards.
- Participate actively in hospital quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, mortality/morbidity review, and continuing medical education (CME)
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Medical doctor degree (Dokter) from a recognized Indonesian university or accredited overseas university.
- Licensing:
- Valid and active Surat Tanda Registrasi (STR).
- Eligible to obtain a Surat Izin Praktik (SIP) for Aspen Medical Hospital, Depok.
- Valid and active ACLS (Advances Cardiac Life Support) and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), and other relevant supporting trainings.
- Willing to work full-time and be based on-site in Depok.
- Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 2 years of post-internship clinical experience in a hospital setting. Fresh graduates who have completed internship with substantial emergency medicine exposure may also be considered.
- Proven hands-on experience in managing acute emergency presentations, diagnostic decision-making, and performing basic bedside procedures.
