General Manager Technical Services Gold Mining (Site Based)

PT Masmindo Dwi Area is building the Awak Mas Gold Project, an open-pit gold mine moving through construction toward first gold. The General Manager Technical Services provides strategic leadership and overall accountability for the Technical Services function, covering mine planning, geology, resource development, geotechnical, hydrogeology, and survey. The role ensures the integrity of resource and reserve estimates, the quality of short and long term mine plans, and the delivery of technical studies that support safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations, in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Technical Services functions: mine planning, geology, resource development, geotechnical, hydrogeology, and survey.
• Direct the development of short term, medium term, and life-of-mine plans aligned with production targets and business objectives.
• Ensure the integrity of resource and reserve estimation and reporting in accordance with JORC or equivalent codes.
• Oversee geotechnical and hydrogeological programs to ensure slope stability, dewatering, and ground control risks are effectively managed.
• Lead pit optimization, mine design, and scheduling to maximize resource value and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical assurance and reconciliation between plans, grade control, and actual production performance.
• Collaborate with Mining, Processing, Maintenance, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated operational execution.
• Direct the preparation of technical studies, RKAB, and statutory technical reporting to regulatory authorities.
• Support mine expansion projects, operational readiness initiatives, and the adoption of new mining technologies.
• Develop organizational capability through leadership, coaching, succession planning, and performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of mining industry experience, including at least 5 years in senior management or leadership roles within Technical Services in open-pit mining operations.
• Certified POP, POM, or POU in accordance with Indonesian mining regulations.
• Strong knowledge of resource and reserve estimation, life-of-mine planning, pit optimization, and mine design.
• Proficient in mine planning and geological software (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan, Datamine, Whittle, Leapfrog).
• Solid understanding of geotechnical and hydrogeological risk management in open-pit operations.
• Proven experience in preparing feasibility studies, RKAB, and statutory technical reports.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, stakeholder management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to be placed at the project site in Luwu, South Sulawesi, under a roster system.
