LYD Bali Group is looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead Bokashi, our Japanese-inspired hospitality concept in Bali.

Bokashi is evolving into more than a restaurant, bringing together Japanese fusion dining, a vibrant bar experience, wellness and spa offerings into one distinctive lifestyle destination.

We are looking for a commercially minded and people-focused hospitality leader who can bring together operations, guest experience, culinary, beverage, wellness and business performance while maintaining the unique identity of the brand.

The Role

As General Manager – Bokashi, you will have overall responsibility for the successful operation and commercial performance of the venue.

You will lead the team, drive service excellence, develop the guest experience and ensure that every element of Bokashi, from Japanese fusion cuisine and bar operations to wellness and spa — works together as one cohesive concept.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Commercial Leadership

• Take full ownership of the venue's overall operational and financial performance.
• Drive revenue, profitability, cost control and business growth.
• Develop and execute annual business plans, budgets and commercial strategies.
• Identify new revenue opportunities across F&B, bar, wellness and spa.
• Monitor key financial and operational KPIs and take corrective action where required.

Operations

• Oversee the daily operation of the restaurant, bar, wellness and spa components.
• Ensure consistent operational standards across all departments.
• Develop SOPs, systems and processes to support efficient operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety and regulatory requirements.

Guest Experience

• Create a distinctive and memorable guest journey inspired by Japanese hospitality and contemporary Bali lifestyle.
• Maintain consistently high standards of food, beverage, service and wellness experiences.
• Understand guest feedback and translate insights into operational improvements.
• Build a strong culture of hospitality and attention to detail.

People & Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop a diverse hospitality team.
• Build a strong performance-driven yet collaborative culture.
• Identify and develop future leaders within the operation.
• Work closely with Talent & Culture on recruitment, succession planning, training and employee engagement.
• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability across departments.

Brand & Concept Development

• Work closely with the Group Marketing, Culinary and Creative teams to strengthen the Bokashi brand.
• Develop activations, collaborations and experiences that increase traffic and brand awareness.
• Ensure the restaurant, bar, wellness and spa elements remain commercially relevant and aligned with the overall concept.
• Represent Bokashi and LYD Bali Group professionally with guests, partners and the wider hospitality community.
  

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a dynamic hospitality leader with strong operational discipline, commercial awareness and a genuine passion for Japanese-inspired hospitality and wellness.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 8+ years of hospitality experience, with significant experience in a senior management or General Manager position.
• Strong background in premium restaurants, lifestyle hospitality, hotels, beach clubs or integrated F&B concepts.
• Experience managing multiple revenue streams such as restaurant, bar, wellness, spa or lifestyle concepts.
• Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Proven ability to lead and develop large, multicultural teams.
• Strong knowledge of F&B operations and service excellence.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong commercial and entrepreneurial mindset.
• High level of professionalism, energy and ownership.
• Experience with Japanese cuisine, Japanese hospitality, wellness or Asian-inspired lifestyle concepts would be highly advantageous.
