Responsible for leading the Human Resources function for Indonesia, acting as a strategic HR business partner to country leadership and business stakeholders. This role oversees the full HR agenda, including compensation and benefits, industrial relations, HR operations, talent and performance management, workforce planning, compliance, and HR analytics. The role requires a strong HR leader with solid Indonesia labour law knowledge, experience in matrix and international organisations, and the ability to support logistics,Poject logistics, including oil & gas and mining business needs.
How you create impact
- Lead HR strategy in line with country and regional business objectives.
- Partner with senior leaders to provide practical HR solutions.
- Support workforce planning, productivity, change management, and business transformation.
- Advise management on people matters, employment risks, and HR best practices.
- Lead C&B strategy covering market competitiveness, internal equity, and compliance.
- Advise on salary structure, benefits, grading, incentives, and workforce cost.
- Use HR cost, manpower, and people data to support business decisions.
- Ensure HR policies align with company standards and Indonesian labour law.
- Support audits, reporting, governance, and regional/global requirements.
- Manage IR matters, employee relations cases, disciplinary actions, grievances, and disputes.
- Guide leaders on fair, consistent, and legally compliant people practices.
- Ensure compliance with Indonesian employment regulations and company policies.
- Assess employment risks and provide solutions for complex employee matters.
- Oversee talent management, succession planning, leadership development, and engagement.
- Drive performance management and support managers on performance issues.
- Identify key talent, capability gaps, and development needs.
- Strengthen people capability to support business growth and operational excellence.
- Oversee HR operations across the employee lifecycle.
- Use HR analytics to identify trends in attrition, engagement, workforce cost, productivity, and talent.
- Improve HR processes, service delivery, reporting, data accuracy, and employee experience.
- Lead HR projects and support regional/global HR initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR team.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders, regional HR, and internal stakeholders.
- Operate effectively in an international matrix environment.
- Travel to business sites and project locations as required.
What we would like you to bring
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline is required.
- Minimum 15 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years managing people or an HR team.
- Advanced English communication skills are required.
- Experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry is required.
- Experience in project logistics, particularly oil & gas or mining-related operations, would be an advantage.
- Strong technical competency in compensation and benefits, and industrial relations.
- Comprehensive understanding of Indonesian labour law and employment regulations.
- Proven experience operating within a matrix structure and multinational corporate environment is required.
- Strong HR analytics capability with a solution-oriented approach.
- Strong business mindset with high customer service orientation.
- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
- CIPD, GPHR, SHRM, or relevant local HR certification is an advantage.
