JOB DESCRIPTION
Financials & Reporting
- To deliver accurate and timely month-end financial closing & reporting, including completion of high-quality financial statement preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, balance sheet analyses, P&L analyses & accruals, and transactional data analysis.
- To improve its accounting process and system as well as their financial reporting
- To identify financial risk and opportunities in order to support monthly management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
- To supervise daily accounting transactions / operations within the business unit
- To liaise with external stakeholders – including external auditor.
- To advice and counsel Senior Management on accounting matters and on the potential impact of current and future accounting standards on the Business Unit's operation.
Compliance
- Reviewing, identifying and improving internal processes and procedures, ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented & maintained in accordance with global policies. Challenge existing processes and make recommendations driving continuous efficiency and improvements.
- Partner with the other finance teams, senior business support and function managers as appropriate to maintain effective process and financial controls and minimize financial risk
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, majoring in Accounting. Professional accountancy qualification and/or an advance degree in accounting is a plus.
- Demonstrate strong technical accounting skills and understanding of accounting principles include local GAAP and US GAAP.
- Strong drive & high energy (get jobs done attitude), hands on and pragmatic, independent and proactive.
- Strong analytical thinking and passionate for results, with abundant passion/curiosity for learning.
- At least 4 - 6 years of experience in a similar position or team management role in a multinational company.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate governance practices and procedures.
- High ethical standards and result-focused, able to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement creative solutions.
- A team player, effective communicator, strong interpersonal skills and ownership behavior, and be able to convey financial information simply
