Otazen, a growing furniture manufacturing company, is opening an opportunity for a technical drawing professional to join our Technical & Engineering team.

About the Role

As a Drafter, you will serve as the bridge between design and production — turning design reference drawings into precise engineering drawings, CNC input, work process flow, and material breakdowns ready for execution on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engineering drawings, CNC input, work process flow, and material breakdowns according to set deadlines, and analyze design reference drawings to convert them into technical drawings that comply with OTA construction standards and production machine capacity/limitations
• Develop material breakdowns based on approved engineering drawings, aligned with work contracts and hardware, accessories, and appliance specifications
• Collaborate with the site project team to ensure technical drawings match actual field measurements and are applicable for installation
• Lead Kick Off Meetings (KOM) for final drawing reviews with the QC, R&D, Production, Assembly, Veneer, and Finishing teams
• Support troubleshooting across design, production, assembly, and field installation stages, and assist the Warehouse team in verifying completeness of non-standard hardware components
• Prepare daily engineering reports, attend morning briefings with the Head of Technical and TE Manager, and participate in quality control during the initial assembly stage before finishing

Requirements

• Minimum D3 degree in Product Design, Architecture, or a related field, with at least 1 year of experience as a drafter
• Background in engineering or knowledge of woodworking and furniture
• Proficient in SolidWorks/AutoCAD; familiarity with 3D software (SketchUp, 3ds Max, etc.) is a plus
• Strong ability to read technical drawings
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including in English
• Proficient in Office applications
• Able to work well in a team and coordinate actively across divisions
