Role Description The Fundraising Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bandung. This role is responsible for planning and executing fundraising strategies to support Sakola Kembara's educational programs, including identifying potential donors, partners, and sponsors, and building long-term relationships with them. The Fundraising Officer will prepare proposals, presentations, and reports, manage fundraising campaigns and events, and ensure accurate documentation of donations and donor information. Daily tasks include coordinating with program and finance teams, monitoring fundraising progress against targets, and providing regular updates to leadership. The role also involves researching funding opportunities, maintaining donor engagement through clear communication, and representing the organization at meetings and community events.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills, including the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and present ideas clearly.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Philanthropy and Charities, with experience working with donors, sponsors, or nonprofit organizations.
  • Solid Organization Skills, including planning, time management, and attention to detail in managing multiple fundraising activities.
  • Proficient Writing skills for developing proposals, reports, campaign materials, and donor correspondence.
  • Experience in fundraising, development, or non-profit management is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build trust-based relationships with community partners.
  • Comfort with basic financial tracking and use of CRM or donor management tools is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business, Social Sciences) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Commitment to educational equity and willingness to work closely with rural and underserved communities.
