Company Description PT Saensa Edukasi Nusantara Gemilang, operating as Saensa Tutor, is a learning center that focuses on tutoring students enrolled in international curricula in the Kelapa Gading area of North Jakarta. The center provides specialized academic support for programs such as the International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge International Curriculum, and other globally recognized education systems. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kelapa Gading for a Science Secondary Tutor (Indonesian citizen only). The tutor will deliver engaging science lessons for secondary-level students following IB, Cambridge, and other international curricula, ensuring that content is clear, accurate, and aligned with exam requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, conducting individual and small-group tutoring sessions, and assessing student progress through homework review, quizzes, and feedback. The tutor will collaborate with colleagues to refine teaching strategies, communicate regularly with students and families about academic development, and help learners build effective study habits and problem-solving skills. The role also involves maintaining a positive learning environment and participating in internal training or curriculum development activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in secondary-level Science (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology) relevant to IB and Cambridge curricula.
- Experience in lesson planning, classroom instruction, and one-on-one or small-group tutoring for secondary school students.
- Ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly, support exam preparation, and develop students critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a student-centered approach and the ability to work with diverse learning styles.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Science, or a related field; teaching certification or relevant tutoring experience is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian, particularly for academic and instructional purposes.
- Indonesian citizenship, with availability to work full time on-site in Kelapa Gading.
