About The Team
SPX Express Indonesia is building the next generation of operational systems for pickup, sortation, linehaul, last-mile delivery, and exception handling. You'll build internal tools and automation that directly move real-world KPIs (SLA, throughput, cost per parcel, productivity) with heavy emphasis on AI implementation.
Job Description
- Build and ship internal web tools used daily by operations
- Own features end-to-end: discovery → design → implementation → rollout → measurement → iteration
- Integrate frontend, backend services, and data pipelines (APIs, events/queues, databases)
- Work closely with Product, Data Science, BI, and Ops to turn messy real-world problems into simple, reliable workflows
- Use automation and (when appropriate) AI/LLM capabilities to reduce manual work and improve decision-making — without sacrificing reliability
Requirements
- Solid programming fundamentals in any modern language (TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Go, Python, etc.)
- Comfortable building web apps and APIs
- Practical engineering mindset: you can cut scope, ship v1, iterate, and avoid over-engineering
- Ownership and accountability: you debug, you measure, you improve
- Collaborative and user-focused: you care about what ops teams actually need, not just building features.
- React/Next.js (or similar frontend frameworks) and TypeScript experience
- Backend experience designing cloud-ready services using databases, queues, caching, etc
- Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud services, logging/metrics/tracing, feature flags
- General understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native principles (e.g. the twelve-factor app), including how services are deployed, scaled, and load-balanced in a containerized environment
- Familiarity with modern AI agent frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or strong interest in learning them
