Plan, prepare, and conduct FSC CoC audits (initial, surveillance, and recertification) at manufacturing, trading, warehousing, printing, and other relevant sites.
Review company procedures and records (purchasing, sales, inventory, production, material accounting, training) to verify compliance with FSC CoC standards and relevant guidance.
Evaluate traceability systems, identification of certified material, volume control, and use of FSC claims on documents and products to ensure integrity of the chain of custody.
Conduct onsite observations and staff interviews to confirm that documented procedures are effectively implemented in daytoday operations.
Identify and document nonconformities, observations, and opportunities for improvement, supported by clear objective evidence.
Prepare accurate, comprehensive audit reports and associated documentation within required timelines and in accordance with internal and accreditation requirements.
Communicate with clients before, during, and after audits regarding audit scope, schedule, findings, corrective actions, and followup requirements.
Monitor and verify implementation and closure of corrective actions raised during audits, including review of submitted evidence and, where needed, followup visits.
Maintain uptodate knowledge of FSC CoC standards, procedures, and related policies, as well as key developments in forest products supply chains.
Ensure that all auditing activities respect impartiality, confidentiality, and health & safety requirements and contribute to continuous improvement of the certification process.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Wood Technology, Forest Products, Supply Chain/Logistics, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
A relevant diploma combined with substantial experience in wood, paper, packaging, or related industries may be considered.
Typically 25 years of experience in forestry, forest products, paper & packaging, printing, or other forestbased product supply chains.
Experience implementing or maintaining FSC CoC systems, or similar traceability/sustainability schemes, is highly preferred.
Prior auditing experience (internal, secondparty, or thirdparty) in quality, environmental, or supplychain systems is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Good understanding of FSC CoC principles and requirements, or strong motivation and ability to be trained and qualified as an FSC CoC auditor.
Strong analytical skills for assessing traceability, material flow, volume reconciliation, and risk points in supply chains.
Good reportwriting skills and attention to detail to document evidence and findings clearly and accurately.
Effective communication and interviewing skills with staff at all levels, with working proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and functional English.
High level of integrity, objectivity, and ability to balance customer service with independent, evidencebased audit conclusions.
Ability to work independently, manage schedules and deadlines, and handle frequent travel to client sites.
Proficiency in common office software and comfort with digital tools for planning, data collection, and reporting.
