Responsibilities
- Translate diverse source materials from English into Chinese (Simplified) accurately and appropriately
- Ensure translations are culturally relevant, clear, and align with client specifications
- Maintain consistency in terminology and style throughout translation projects
- Collaborate with project managers and reviewers to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Review and proofread translated content to ensure high quality deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field preferred
- Native proficiency in Chinese (Simplified) with excellent command of English
- Must be located outside of China
- Proven professional experience in post-editing, translation preferably in a freelance capacity
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances and localization practices
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Familiarity with translation tools (e.g., SDL Trados Studio) is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment
