Freelance Music Composer

We are looking for music that is:

• Inspired by the diverse cultures of Nusantara
• Rich in traditional instruments (Gamelan, Kendang, Suling, Sasando, Angklung, Talempong, etc.)
• Blended with modern orchestral elements
• Memorable and emotionally engaging
• Suitable for a kingdom-building strategy game
• Able to evoke feelings of pride, exploration, warfare, and the rise of an empire

The soundtrack should feel unique, not simply traditional music, but a modern interpretation that brings the spirit of Nusantara into an epic strategy game.

Requirements:

• Experience composing music for games, films, or cinematic projects
• Strong orchestration and music production skills
• Able to combine ethnic/traditional instruments with modern orchestral music
• High-quality mixing and mastering
• Able to deliver loopable tracks suitable for games
• Good communication and ability to receive feedback
• Able to meet agreed production deadlines

Nice to have

• Experience composing for Strategy (SLG), RPG, or Fantasy games
• Knowledge of Indonesian traditional music and regional instruments
• Experience implementing adaptive or layered game music
