Job Description
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a growing international company in the fashion retail industry. Our client is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead financial planning, forecasting, commercial analysis, and management reporting for its operations in Indonesia and Australia. This is a 12-month contract position based in Bali, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Own the annual budgeting and rolling reforecast cycles across the group, ensuring clear assumptions and alignment with business plans.
- Build and maintain group P&L models with season-level and channel-level analysis, including clear bridges between budget and latest forecasts.
- Translate production volumes, seasonal launches, wholesale orders, and DTC activities into financial forecasts.
- Lead cash flow and working capital forecasting, with a focus on inventory, supplier payment terms, and intercompany flows.
- Analyze Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM), including standard versus actual costs and variances across garments, fabrics, and suppliers.
- Partner with production and supply chain teams on landed-cost analysis covering fabric, trims, manufacturing, freight, and duties.
- Monitor logistics and shipping costs and identify variances or improvement opportunities.
- Maintain channel P&L analysis across Wholesale and DTC, including overhead allocation, channel margins, and contribution.
- Analyze pricing, markdowns, returns, freight economics, and channel mix to support commercial decision-making.
- Develop financial models and business cases for new markets, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare monthly management reporting packs covering actuals, budget, and reforecast, with clear commentary on key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards for operations, merchandising, and leadership teams.
- Manage and explain the impact of multiple currencies, including USD, AUD, EUR, GBP, and IDR, across financial reporting.
- Improve finance data integrity, reporting structures, and automation to reduce manual processes.
- Support intercompany, transfer pricing, month-end closing, audit, and statutory activities where FP&A input is required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field; CA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Management Accounting.
- Experience in retail, fashion, consumer goods, textiles, or supply chain environments is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in cost accounting, COGM, landed-cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to develop reliable and practical financial models.
- Proven experience preparing management reports and translating financial data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfortable working across multiple currencies and entities, including intercompany transactions.
- Strong business partnering and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with production, supply chain, merchandising, wholesale, and DTC teams.
- Experience with wholesale and DTC channel economics, including pricing, returns, and markdown analysis, is an advantage.
- Experience improving finance systems, data structures, ERP, BI tools, or reporting automation is desirable.
- Working proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and attention to detail, with the ability to connect operational performance to overall P&L impact.
