Founding Account Executive: B2B SaaS (Knowledge Management Platform)

About the role
We're an early-stage AI platform that helps Indonesian mid-market companies (50–500 employees) capture their institutional knowledge. We're looking for our founding Account Executive: the first dedicated seller who will own the full sales cycle, close our early customers, and build the playbook the sales team will later run on. This is a high-ownership role with a direct line to the founders.
What you'll do
- Own the full cycle. Prospect, qualify, demo, negotiate, and close mid-market B2B accounts.
- Sell consultatively. Run discovery with HR/L&D, operations, and executive buyers; diagnose their knowledge and training pain and map our platform to clear business value.
- Demo with confidence. Translate a technical, AI-powered product into outcomes a non-technical buyer cares about (you'll have strong product support).
- Build and own pipeline. Disciplined CRM hygiene, accurate forecasting, multi-stakeholder deal management.
- Shape the playbook. As our first seller, your messaging, objection handling, and process become the template we scale.
- Be the voice of the customer. Feed market signal back to the founder and product team.
What we're looking for (required)
- 2–4+ years of B2B sales with a track record of meeting or beating quota, SaaS or tech-enabled services strongly preferred.
- Full professional fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, written and spoken. You'll sell primarily in Bahasa, but our product, materials, and internal work are in English.
- Consultative / solution-selling skill, comfortable with multi-stakeholder mid-market deals and longer cycles.
- Comfort with a technical / AI product and the curiosity to learn it deeply.
- Self-direction and resilience, you can build pipeline from scratch and thrive in an early-stage environment without a big team around you.
Preferred (nice to have)
- Overseas degree or significant international study/work experience — we value the cross-cultural communication and global business polish it builds; much of our tooling and standards are international.
- Experience selling to Senior Executives/ HR / L&D / operations buyers, or into the mid-market segment.
- An existing network among Indonesian mid-market companies.
- Early-stage / startup experience.
