We are looking for a talented First Line Manager to join our Operations team at Panjang Factory and play a critical role in driving manufacturing excellence, people development, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

A Day in the Life of a First Line Manager

As a First Line Manager, you will lead frontline manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of Nestlé products. You will be responsible for optimizing line performance, managing resources effectively, developing people capabilities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading safety, health, environmental, and food safety compliance across production operations.
  • Ensuring achievement of production targets through effective operational planning and execution.
  • Driving line efficiency, productivity improvement, and asset optimization initiatives.
  • Managing workforce performance, capability building, employee engagement, and coaching activities.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE), TPM, Lean, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, SHE, HR, Supply Chain, and other key stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within FMCG or food & beverage industries.
  • Experience leading and developing teams in a production environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and continuous improvement capability.
  • Familiarity with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, NCE, HACCP, QMS, and manufacturing KPIs is highly desirable.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
