Financial Controller - lending

Our client is a well-funded and rapidly growing lending company with ambitious expansion plans across SE Asia. Backed by strong investors and led by an experienced leadership team, they are now seeking a high-potential Financial Controller to join the business during an exciting phase of growth

About the Financial Controller opportunity:

• Oversee financial reporting and month-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance frameworks
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
• Work closely with senior leadership to support business growth initiatives
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders
• Assist in improving finance processes, systems, and operational efficiency

Skills and experience needed:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
• 3–4 years experience gained within a leading professional accounting firm (Big 4 or equivalent preferred)
• Prior experience working within a fintech business is essential
• Experience within a lending fintech environment is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Ambitious, proactive, and capable of operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
