Job Role

The Financial Controller is a Director-level leadership position responsible for overseeing the organization's end-to-end Finance, Accounting, and Tax (FAT) functions across multiple business entities. This role provides strategic financial leadership while maintaining hands-on oversight of financial reporting, tax management, treasury, budgeting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, financial consolidation, and accounting governance.

Working closely with executive leadership and regional stakeholders, the successful candidate will ensure financial integrity, strengthen governance frameworks, optimize financial processes, and support strategic business decisions through accurate financial reporting, effective risk management, and compliance with Indonesian and international accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all finance, accounting, tax, treasury, budgeting, and financial reporting activities across multiple business entities.
  • Ensure accurate preparation and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indonesian accounting standards and international reporting requirements.
  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, cash flow management, and financial performance analysis.
  • Oversee general ledger management, financial consolidation, tax planning, statutory reporting, and financial compliance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Indonesian financial regulations, taxation requirements, corporate governance standards, and industry regulatory obligations.
  • Develop and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, standard operating procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Partner with executive leadership and business teams to provide financial insights that support strategic planning, investment decisions, and business growth.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, financial institutions, regulators, and other external stakeholders.
  • Lead financial system improvements, process optimization initiatives, and digital transformation projects within the finance function.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing Finance, Accounting, and Tax team while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with treasury, commercial, operations, and executive leadership to align financial governance with organizational objectives.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to support sustainable business performance.

Candidate Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, and Tax functions, including at least 5 years in senior finance leadership roles.
  • Strong experience within fintech, digital lending, consumer finance, banking, microfinance, or other regulated financial services industries.
  • Proven experience managing finance operations across multiple legal entities or business units.
  • Deep understanding of Indonesian accounting standards (PSAK), taxation, financial governance, regulatory compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) for financial consolidation and regional reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, treasury management, financial planning, tax management, audit coordination, and financial risk management.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide financial recommendations that support executive decision-making.
  • High integrity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, regulated business environment.
  • Professional fluency in spoken and written English is required. Proficiency in Mandarin is considered a strong advantage for regional collaboration.
