Job Description

Tanoto Foundation Indonesia has grown in term of activities, grant size and the number of staff in the last few years. Alongside with that growth, Tanoto Foundation had evolve to focus on balancing out between program implementation and advocacy. The number of our beneficiaries also growing in all over Indonesia. As such, we are looking for a Talent to support our finance team in one of our Regional Office at Pekanbaru.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing Financial Aspect in Regional Office

  • As a partner of the Regional Lead to manage day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger entries;
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders;
  • Assist Regional Finance & Operation Lead & Regional Lead in the annual budget & monthly budget phasing development;
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness;
  • Ensure compliance of project implementation with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and applied policy;
  • Inspecting invoices comprehensiveness and the validity from vendors and making payments according to the organization's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP);
  • Ensuring information's accuracy, tax obligations, agreements, and fund allocation from the appropriate budget, and finishing recording according to the organization's policy.
  • Managing petty cash to support activities in the field, including inspecting and processing payments for office facilities and supervising petty cash usage.
  • Any other duties related to programs and activities given by Regional Finance & Operation Lead & Regional Lead;

Reporting and Communication

  • Monitoring financial procedure implementation and maintenance including preparing monthly bank reconciliation reports, recording an accurate management system for the amount and due date of debt and receivables, and the settlement of payment in advance on time;
  • Maintain accurate financial records and financial documentation;
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management;
  • Assist in donor reporting and grant management, ensuring financial accountability and transparency;
  • Provide training and support to staff on financial policies and procedures;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and systems;
  • Develop operational monthly needs and monthly funds requests for the regional office.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting
  • At least 5 years of well-rounded working experience in accounting and finance;
  • Knowledge of Indonesian taxation and experience in working with tax-related transactions will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office especially MS Excel and MSWord, and MS Outlook applications.
  • Works well in multi-cultural environments, with high integrity and responsibilities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
