The Role
As a Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Finance Director and Senior Management Team across the group, the role centres around three core functions: -
- Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions across Southeast Asia, ensuring the accurate and timely recording of all transactions, performance of reconciliations and overall bookkeeping
- Implementing controls and policies and ensuring compliance
- Developing and coaching the accounting team
Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions across SEA
- Ensuring all required accounting entries are being performed accurately and timely in the system
- Ensuring all reconciliations of the relevant heads in trial balance are being performed regularly and in line with all closing and reporting requirements;
- Performing timely and accurate closing of the accounting books for monthly, quarterly and annual purposes
- Managing debtors balances, credit requirements and credit insurance policies and contribute to strong client relationships
- Reviewing and controlling Tax and submissions and ensuring they are performed as per local laws and regulations
- Liaising with internal and external parties as required such as auditors, banks and tax authorities
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to manage expectations and address concerns.
- Monitor and recommend modifications to processes, policies, and information systems within the finance team as well as the wider business where appropriate.
- Communicate effectively and on a timely basis with customers, suppliers, and management.
Implement controls and policies and ensure compliance
- Ensuring all accounting functions and activities are being performed as per company policies and best practice
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations and internal poli
- Ensure all SOPs are implemented and followed as per company DOA and best practice
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls
Education, Experience, and Key Competencies
- BSc in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification.
- Additional professional certification (CA, CPA, or CMA) is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of local Finance regulations and procedures
- Effective coordination among regional teams and self-driven
- Advanced MS Excel skills including V lookups and pivot tables and hands-on experience in ERP
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
