About the Role

AIA is seeking a Finance Intelligence Specialist. This role will support the Finance Intelligence Community (FIC) Core Team in Finance Intelligence programme. The role is responsible for substantive analytical work across the three phases of the FIC operating modelDiagnose, Design, and Deploy — including process classification, solution mapping, use case development and delivery tracking across Finance & Actuarial sub-functions.

This is a contract role with a defined 8-month scope aligned to the first cycle of the Finance Intelligence Community programme. The possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role will be assessed based on programme outcomes, business need and headcount availability at the end of the contract period.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Mapping & Classification

  • Own and maintain the master list of Finance & Actuarial processes.
  • Facilitate classification sessions with function representatives and process owners.
  • Develop before–after flowcharts for priority processes.
  • Document and track all outputs, decisions, and changes.
  • Escalate unresolved classification or ownership issue.

Solution Mapping & Business Case Development

  • Map processes to suitable solutions (VBA, RPA, BI, SOP, AI/ML, etc.).
  • Maintain an automation solution catalogue with supporting evidence.
  • Prepare use case documentation (scope, metrics, solution, effort, benefits).
  • Present shortlisted solutions for stakeholder validation prior to Senior Leadership Team approval.

Pilot Delivery Support

  • Coordinate pilot implementation across teams and track progress against scope and timeline.
  • Monitor adoption and capture learnings for future reference.
  • Prepare updates for SLT reporting and regular progress tracking.

Governance & Community Management

  • Manage Finance & Actuarial representatives sync logistics — agenda preparation, attendance tracking and action item follow-up.
  • Prepare Steering Committee presentation materials under the direction of the Head of FIG.
  • Maintain the Community Roster, RACI Matrix and Governance Calendar workbooks.
  • Track all programme milestones against the approved timeline and flag deviations early.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics / Mathematics / Statistics / Information Technology or related field.
  • Relevant professional certification (Google Data Analytics, IBM Data Analyst, etc.) is an advantage but not required.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in data analysis field and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in process documentation, mapping or analysis.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services or consulting environment preferred.
  • Able to organize complex process inventories into clear and proper frameworks.
  • Produces accurate use case documents, and progress reports.
  • Effective verbal communication.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel – power query, pivot tables, and structured data management, advance formulas and VBA.
  • Proficient in SQL, Power BI or other similar data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with process mapping tools (Visio or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and interpret financial process flows, system integration diagrams and data architecture.
