Role Overview
We are looking for a Finance Director for one of our portfolio companies based in Jakarta. The Finance Director is responsible for leading the company's overall financial strategy, governance, and performance, while also overseeing process to ensure strong cost control, disciplined spending, and value-driven sourcing.
This role acts as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, closely partnering with the C-suite leaders and functional heads to ensure sustainability, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Executive Leadership
- Define and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO on financial performance, capital allocation, cost structure, and risk management.
- Drive a strong performance-driven and governance-oriented finance organization.
2. Financial Planning, Performance & Decision Support
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Review financial performance, key metrics, and variance analysis across the business.
- Ensure management receives timely, clear, and actionable financial insights.
3. Treasury, Funding & Capital Management
- Provide strategic oversight of treasury : Monitor daily cash balance across bank accounts, Ensure sufficient cash for payroll, suppliers, and operating expenses,
- Prepare short-term and medium-term cash flow forecasts.
- Approve funding strategies, banking structures, and major financing decisions.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and key financial stakeholders.
4. Accounting, Tax & Financial Reporting Governance
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with prevailing accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, and external audit processes.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial governance frameworks.
5. Cost Control & Spend Management
- Oversee company-wide cost management and procurement spend governance.
- Monitor procurement savings, contract compliance, and purchasing effectiveness.
- Partner with business leaders to balance cost efficiency with operational needs.
6. Leadership, Talent & Organization Development
- Lead and develop senior leaders across Finance functions.
- Build a high-performing organization with clear accountability and succession planning.
- Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement.
7. Stakeholder, Board & External Management
- Prepare and present financial performance and related insights to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Represent the company in discussions with auditors, banks, investors, and key suppliers.
- Support strategic initiatives such as expansion and fundraising.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong end-to-end exposure across Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Tax, and FP&A, with the ability to translate financial strategy into business impact.
- Proven experience partnering closely with the CEO and Board on strategic and high-impact decisions.
- Commercially driven leader with hands-on experience in cost optimization, spend governance, and value-based procurement.
- Background in fast-growing and operationally complex organizations, preferably within consumer-driven or technology-enabled industries.
- Strong capability in managing growth, scale, and organizational change.
- High integrity, strong governance mindset, and confident executive presence with excellent stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to speak Bahasa is a must.
- Must have experience with SAP accounting system.
