Responsibilities
Costprice (standard cost) maintenance:
- Monthly costing runs requiring validation on adjusted raw material prices and other input cost changes;
- Owning the local costprice allocation template for allocating conversion costs to individual products by means of a machine rate per hour, etc.
- Close contact to masterdata owners within manufacturing for translating masterdata changes in correct costprice updates understanding BOM's and routings
Finance control for operation activities
- Oversee financial operations of the plant, ensuring cost control and accurate reporting
- Conduct cost variance analysis to control the cost efficiency and provide insight to optimize plant performance
- Develop and manage the plant budget and forecast as based for Costprice
- Implement financial controls to mitigate risks and enhance reporting accuracy
- Optimize inventory management and working capital efficiency
Participate in Supply review meetings:
- Calculate/estimate the impact of agreed volumes on manufacturing costs, expected variances (when standard cost), utilizations and inventory values this can lead to f.e. addressing overstaffed situations in case of a down-turn in volumes
- Output of meeting is input for manufacturing and S&D cost forecast
- Be a challenger in order to improve forecast accuracy
CAPEX applications:
- Central point of contact locally for Capex requests, owning templates and policies
- Coordinating Capex business cases responsible for the cost of sales part with manufacturing and working with other functions to come to a total business case
- Uploading, tracking and tracing of Capex approvals, receiving Q&A about Capex requests and solving this
- Capex reporting following Wavin Operations cycle including Capex spend forecast in relation to this prepare relevant Capex reports for local management purposes
Performance monitoring Manufacturing & supply chain:
- Prepare performance reports for manufacturing & supply chain, in line with local and Wavin Operations management cycle
- Based on analysis pro-actively come forward with points of attention, improvement proposals etc
- Be a financial business partner and challenger to local manufacturing and supply chain
- Be an advocator of cost-consious behavior within operations
- Assure KPI's are harmonized with Global definitions for benchmarking purposes
Budgeting & forecasting for Operations aligned with overall budgeting & forecasting cycle
Internal controls:
- Ensure compliance to relevant policies for operations
- Support developing the internal control framework for controls within the operations area (plants, warehouse, master data).
Projects:
- Standardize and harmonize operational KPI's and definitions for the applicable factory or site, in line with Wavin and Orbia conventions
- Project team member in cost price improvement studies, footprint studies, make or buy decisions, etc.
Qualifications, experience & Language
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (mandatory)
- Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (preferred, but not always required).
- Professional Certifications will be a plus point such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant),
- Language(s) and level of proficiency: English Professional Working Proficiency
- Knowledge/Experience: 7-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
