Finance Business Partner Manager (General Trade) – Commercial Department
We're looking for a Finance Partner who truly understands the General Trade game.
If you've dealt with complex distribution dynamics, managed trade spend across wide GT channels, and know what drives profitability from distributor to outlet level — this role is for you.
We need someone with strong FMCG experience, commercially sharp, and ready to co-own the business with our Sales leaders, not just report the numbers.
This is a strategic finance role where you'll help shape GT business direction, manage trade investment effectively, and turn insights into real commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis
- Partner closely with Sales team to build accurate budgets, forecasts, and long-term GT plans
- Provide actionable insights on pricing, trade spend, and ROI to maximize profitability across distributors & outlets
- Translate sales, distribution, and outlet data into strategic recommendations for growth
Commercial Business Partnership (GT Focus)
- Act as financial co-pilot to GT Sales leaders in driving area performance and distribution expansion
- Support decision making in trade programs, incentive schemes, and distributor strategies
- Evaluate financial impact of initiatives such as new area openings, outlet expansion, and GT activations
- Provide data-backed solutions for challenges like low productivity outlet, uneven distribution, or inefficient trade spend
Performance Management & Reporting
- Monitor key GT metrics: sales growth, distribution (numeric & weighted), trade spend, and channel profitability
- Conduct deep-dive analysis per area / distributor to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Present insights to leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and action plans
Trade Spend & Field Execution Optimization
- Oversee GT trade spend governance (discount, incentive, program support) to ensure effective ROI
- Analyze effectiveness of GT programs across area, distributor, and outlet level
- Ensure financial discipline in execution, including claim monitoring and validation
Process Improvement & Cost Management
- Improve finance visibility across GT operations (from distributor to outlet level)
- Drive cost efficiency initiatives while maintaining strong sales execution
Team Leadership & Cross-Function Collaboration
- Lead and develop finance team with strong business partnering mindset
- Work closely with Sales (Area Sales Manager, Supervisor), Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years in Finance, with at least 1 year in business partnering / managerial role
- Professionally able conversate in English
- Proven FMCG experience, preferably handling General Trade & distributor management
- Comfortable working in a full WFO scheme
