Finance Auditor (Freelance)

We're hiring: Freelance Finance Auditor & Advisor (2 visits per month)

Gingersnap Bali is a retail garment company that has been running in Bali for 20 years, with a network of stores across the island. We're looking for an experienced finance professional to come to our office twice a month. You'll audit our financial reports and give management clear, practical advice.

This role is for someone who can find what the numbers are saying and explain it to management in plain terms, not just check that they add up.

What you'll do

• Audit our Petty Cash Reports twice a month, checking accuracy, supporting documents, and compliance with internal procedures
• Review and audit our Profit & Loss (P&L) Reports, flagging differences, unusual entries, and trends
• Review transactions, journals, and reports directly in Accurate Online, our accounting system
• Find weak spots in our financial controls and recommend practical improvements
• Advise on cost control, margins, and cash flow from a retail perspective
• Prepare and present a conclusion report to management after each visit, with findings, risks, and recommendations
• Work with our operations and admin team to follow up on corrective actions

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in finance, auditing, or accounting, ideally in retail, garment, or multi-outlet businesses
• Must be familiar with Accurate Online: able to navigate transactions, journals, and financial reports in the system on your own
• Strong understanding of P&L analysis, petty cash controls, and internal audit practices
• Familiar with Indonesian accounting standards (PSAK) and general tax awareness
• Able to turn financial data into clear conclusions and present them confidently to management
• Good communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English
• Detail-oriented, independent, and trustworthy
• Based in Bali or able to come regularly to Kerobokan – Umalas
• CPA / Ak. / CA / CIA certification is a plus

What we offer

• Fee: IDR 3,500,000 – 4,500,000 per month (for 2 on-site visits per month)
• Visit hours: 08.30 – 17.00 WITA, adjusted to each visit's agenda
