We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Officer to join our team and support daily financial operations, including payment processing, accounting administration, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and compliance activities. The role will also assist with audit, tax, and CAPEX administration to ensure accurate and efficient financial management.

This is an opportunity for a finance professional with strong attention to detail and experience in accounting, accounts payable, and financial administration, who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and collaborating with different teams to support business operations.

About the Role

You will be the Finance & Accounting Officer for Esri Bangladesh and partially Esri Indonesia, supporting the smooth execution of accounts payable, accounting, and financial reporting processes.

Working with cross-functional teams and external partners, you will help ensure transactions are processed accurately, records are well maintained, and finance operations run efficiently.

Your contribution will be essential in maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the company's continued growth.

What you will be doing:

Accounts Payable & Payment Processing

  • Prepare and verify supporting documents for vendor and operational payments.
  • Review payment requests to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization.
  • Process approved payments through e-banking platforms in a timely and secure manner.
  • Maintain payment records and supporting documentation for audit purposes.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Record financial transactions and prepare journal entries in the accounting system.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules as required.

Bank Reconciliation

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Monitor bank transactions and ensure proper recording in the accounting system.
  • Coordinate with banks regarding transaction-related inquiries when necessary.

Tax & Audit Support

  • Prepare and provide supporting documents required by tax consultants for tax compliance and reporting.
  • Assist external and internal auditors by gathering and organizing requested financial information and documentation.
  • Ensure financial records are properly maintained and readily available for review.

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain organized and updated filing of financial documents.
  • Support continuous improvement of finance and accounting processes.

Department Support

  • Prepare and maintain Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) request forms and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with requesting departments to gather required information, quotations, and business justifications for CAPEX proposals.
  • Review CAPEX submissions for completeness, accuracy, budget availability, and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor CAPEX approval status and follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely processing.
  • Maintain CAPEX records, approvals, and supporting documents for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Track CAPEX spending against approved budgets and provide periodic updates to management.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and Tax.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, general ledger, and financial reporting. Good understanding of PSAK/IFRS is required.
  • Adequate understanding of local and international tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good time management with ability to meet tight closing and reporting deadlines.
  • Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate with internal and external parties (auditors, tax consultants, banks).
  • Experience using ERP system (Workday) is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
