Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Finance & Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting and financial activities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role also supervises a small team within the finance department to maintain efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insight to management on financial performance.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.

2. Accounting Operations

  • Supervise day-to-day accounting activities including GL entries, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and journal entries.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
  • Oversee fixed assets recording, depreciation, and physical audits.

3. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax audits.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns (PPN, PPh 21, PPh 23, PPh 25, etc.).
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and risk management processes.

4. Team Supervision & Development

  • Lead, guide, and supervise the Finance & Accounting team.
  • Provide training and mentoring to staff for performance and skill development.
  • Review work accuracy and ensure timely task completion.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend improvement actions.

5. System & Process Improvement

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems (ERP/Software).
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in finance operations.
  • Liaise with IT or vendors to resolve system issues affecting finance functions.

Requirements:

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA is a plus).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards (PSAK/IFRS).
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Accurate, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
