Film Scene Description Specialist (AI Training)

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with a keen eye for visual storytelling and a talent for clear, descriptive writing. No professional film industry experience required — just a genuine appreciation for how great scenes work.

What You'll Do
- Watch short film and video clips and break them down into detailed, beat-by-beat visual descriptions
- Describe camera movement, framing, shot composition, blocking, pacing, and mood
- Communicate the emotional tone and atmosphere of scenes using purely visual indicators — no dialogue references
- Follow structured formatting guidelines to produce consistent, high-quality scene summaries and beat breakdowns
- Re-watch clips as needed to ensure accuracy and depth of description
- Maintain consistency and quality standards across a high volume of scene descriptions
Who You Are
- Genuine interest in film, television, or visual storytelling — you notice how scenes are constructed
- Ability to translate what you see on screen into clear, precise written descriptions
- Strong structured writing skills with attention to detail and consistency
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently on task-based assignments
- Comfortable re-watching content to capture nuance and accuracy
- No professional film, production, or AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Background in film studies, media, photography, or visual arts
- Experience with screenwriting, storyboarding, or video production
- Familiarity with cinematography terms such as shot types, transitions, and camera angles
