Responsibilities
We are looking for a
Field Service Engineer (DCS) for a
6-month contract to support offshore oil & gas platform operations in Indonesia (WHCPP and FSO).
- Verify DCS system cabinets and marshalling cabinets against approved General Arrangement (GA) drawings, cabinet layouts, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Supervise and perform the installation of DCS system cabinets, marshalling cabinets, network cabinets, and operator consoles.
- Energize and commission system cabinets, network cabinets, marshalling cabinets, and operator consoles in accordance with project procedures.
- Power up Honeywell Experion PKS controllers, I/O modules, and associated hardware, ensuring proper startup and system integrity.
- Start up and configure Experion servers, Engineering Workstations (EWS), and Operator Workstations (OWS).
- Execute Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for DCS system cabinets, network cabinets, marshalling cabinets, and operator consoles in accordance with approved SAT procedures and GA drawings.
- Perform software application verification, including control strategies, control modules, graphics, alarms, historical data, and system configuration, in compliance with SAT procedures.
- Coordinate and perform SCADA interface testing with third-party vendors to verify communication, data exchange, and system integration.
- Verify and validate HMI Web Display functionality, graphics, navigation, alarms, trends, and operator interface performance.
- Support I/O loop checking from marshalling cabinets to field instruments, including signal verification, wiring validation, and troubleshooting.
- Perform functional logic verification for process control sequences, interlocks, permissives, shutdown functions, and control strategies.
- Execute commissioning activities for the complete Honeywell DCS system, ensuring compliance with project specifications and operational requirements.
- Provide technical support during plant startup, including troubleshooting, system optimization, and operational assistance until stable plant operation is achieved.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on DCS experience, specifically within the Oil & Gas sector (Offshore/WHCPP/FSO preferred).
- Experience with Honeywell Experion PKS (C300 controllers, I/O modules, EWS/OWS workstations).
- Commissioning & SAT: Proven track record in cabinet energization, system startup, and executing Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for control, network, and marshalling cabinets.
- Skilled in functional logic verification (interlocks, shutdown sequences), HMI graphic configuration, and alarm/trend displays.
- Proficient in I/O loop checking, troubleshooting field signals, and conducting SCADA interface testing with third-party systems.
- Able to read and verify GA drawings, wiring diagrams, cabinet layouts, P&IDs, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Willing to work offshore in Indonesia under a site rotation schedule (e.g., 3-to-4 weeks on-site / off-site rotation).
- Available for a 6-month contract (Extendable)
