This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong research instincts and a commitment to accuracy. No journalism or fact-checking background required — just a sharp, curious mind and the drive to find the truth.

What You'll Do
- Verify AI-generated statements, statistics, and claims against reliable, authoritative sources
- Flag factual errors, outdated information, and unsupported or misleading claims
- Rate the accuracy and reliability of AI outputs using structured evaluation rubrics
- Document your sources and clearly explain the reasoning behind your fact-check decisions
- Cover a wide range of topics — from current events and science to history, culture, and technology
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Naturally skeptical — you question claims and don't take things at face value
- Strong research skills with the ability to identify and evaluate trustworthy sources
- Detail-oriented and methodical in your approach to tasks
- Clear, concise written communicator who can explain your findings effectively
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
- No prior journalism, fact-checking, or AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Background in research, journalism, editing, or academic writing
- Experience with source evaluation, citation, or investigative work
- Familiarity with AI tools or content platforms as an end user
- Interest in misinformation, media literacy, or information quality
