Job Description
We are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor with over 10 years of experience in plant mechanical maintenance, ideally in the mining sector or similar industrial facilities, to manage, maintain, and optimize the mechanical equipment on our site.
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating mechanical maintenance activities, with a particular focus on:
- Key industrial process equipment: crushers, grinders, thickeners, and CIL/CIP and ADR circuits.
- Pumping systems, including high-power pumps (400 kW and above).
You will be required to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, optimize production processes, and ensure optimal equipment availability.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical maintenance teams and ensure compliance with safety standards and internal procedures.
- Diagnose breakdowns and propose suitable technical solutions.
- Manage the maintenance of key equipment, particularly crushers, grinders, thickeners, CIL, CIP, and ADR installations.
- Oversee the maintenance of high-power pumps (above 400 kW).
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production flows.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize production downtime.
Required Skills
- Technical expertise in flow sheets and heavy industrial equipment, including high-power pumps.
- Strong team management skills and experience in preventive and corrective maintenance supervision.
- Knowledge of safety standards, continuous improvement processes, and maintenance management tools.
- Rigor, autonomy, analytical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within industrial environments, preferably in the gold mining industry or similar facilities.
