WE ARE HIRING: A Driven Executive Pastry Chef!

About the Role

We&aposre looking for a visionary Head Bakery Chef to lead the creation, innovation, and execution of our bakery offerings from viennoiseries to pastries to modern desserts. Youll spearhead R&D, set production standards, and manage a small but high-performing team in a well-equipped, creative environment.

What Youll Do

  • Develop & Standardize: Craft and refine recipes with a sharp focus on flavor integrity, texture, and shelf life.
  • Lead Production: Oversee daily output with consistent quality, aesthetics, and efficiency.
  • Drive Innovation: Launch new items for seasonal menus, campaigns, and retail SKUs while maintaining a stable core lineup.
  • Control Operations: Manage inventory, cost efficiency, and procurement in collaboration with the operations team.
  • Build & Train Teams: Mentor and grow a bakery team that shares your drive for excellence, hygiene, and attention to detail.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with creative and business leads on R&D, product rollout, and feedback loops.
  • Enforce Kitchen SOPs: Maintain mise en place, baking timelines, QC protocols, and minimize waste.

What You Bring

  • Proven track record as a Pastry Chef, Head Baker, or Senior Production Chef in commercial kitchens or artisanal bakeries.
  • Strong grasp of traditional pastry techniques and modern bakery trends.
  • Ability to scale recipes, manage batch production, and run a clean, organized kitchen.
  • Deep sense of taste, texture, and visual aesthetics.
  • High performance under pressure you hit production targets without sacrificing quality.
  • Pride in your work, with precision, discipline, and a makers mindset.

Bonus Points

  • Experience launching bakery menus or helping scale a bakery startup.
  • Knowledge of Medan/Indonesian dessert profiles.
  • Familiarity with food costing, shelf-life management, and vacuum packaging techniques.
