Duties and responsibilities
- Perform setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting of SMT machines (Printer, SPI, Mounter, Reflow Oven, AOI).
- Handle machine breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Plan and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly).
- Conduct machine parameter setting and optimization to improve quality and productivity.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and SMT process changes.
- Coordinate with Process Engineering, Production, Quality, and vendors for machine-related issues.
- Monitor and control SMT machine spare parts, including replacement recommendations.
- Prepare and update work instructions (WI), PM checklists, and technical reports.
- Support internal and external audits (ISO, customer audits).
- Ensure compliance with 5S and EHS standards in the SMT equipment area.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 23 years of experience as an SMT Equipment Engineer or similar role
- Able to Speak, read and type in English
- Good understanding of SMT machines such as Printer, Chip Shooter, Flexible Mounter, Reflow Oven, and AOI.
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams, drawings, and machine manuals.
- Basic knowledge of PLC, sensors, motors, pneumatic systems, and vacuum systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work shift and on-call when required.
- Basic to good English communication skills are an advantage.
- Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Hands-on experience with JUKI SMT machines (JUKI Mounter) is a strong advantage.
- Experience with other SMT machine brands such as Fuji, Panasonic, Yamaha, ASM, etc.
- Experience in process improvement and OEE improvement activities.
- Experience in new line setup, machine installation, or machine relocation
