Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to ensure high reliability and uptime of cable harness manufacturing equipment.
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians responsible for maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of production and testing equipment.
- Manage and maintain calibration programs for testing equipment (e.g., continuity testers, hipot testers, crimp force analyzers) to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Support production, engineering, and NPI (New Product Introduction) activities, including setup, installation, and qualification of new machinery and production lines.
- Monitor equipment performance (e.g., crimping machines, wire cutting/stripping machines, automated assembly lines) and implement predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, maintenance procedures, calibration records, and equipment logs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, reduce breakdowns, and optimize maintenance costs.
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tooling, and upgrades through technical and cost-benefit analysis.
- Ensure proper training of operators and technicians on equipment usage, safety standards, and basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards and industry regulations (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620 where applicable).
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance, spare parts, and equipment servicing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or General Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in cable harness or electronics manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proficient in English (spoken and written); Mandarin is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of cable harness manufacturing equipment, including wire processing machines (cutting, stripping, crimping), testing equipment, and assembly tools.
- Hands-on experience with CMMS and calibration management systems.
- Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and cable assembly quality requirements is a strong advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone).
- Solid understanding of industrial safety practices and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Able to work under pressure, handle urgent breakdowns, and support production continuity.
