The Environment Specialist (supervisor) is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards while overseeing the effective management of water, emissions, and waste. This role supports sustainability initiatives, maintains environmental management system certifications, and drives continuous improvement to ensure environmentally responsible and compliant operations.
Job Description
- Conduct regular evaluations to ensure compliance with environmental, HSE regulations, and applicable permits, including implementation of Life Saving Rules across all work areas
- Manage and monitor environmental aspects, including water, emission, and waste (B3 & non-B3) management, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001, PROPER, and Green Industry Standards
- Provide environmental management training and guidance to relevant stakeholders to support compliance and awareness
- Review, prepare, and verify environmental reports for internal and external requirements, including audits and certifications
- Control the environmental budget and drive sustainability initiatives that support continuous improvement across company operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (S1) in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance requirements, and environmental permitting
- Good understanding of ISO 14001, PROPER, and Green Industry Standards
- Experience in water, emission, and waste management systems
- Able to conduct training and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
