Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site English Teacher role based in Semarang. The English Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons for students of varying ages and proficiency levels, following the school's curriculum and teaching standards.

Responsibilities

• Make lesson plans for classes and teach English to kids aged 3-18 years old
• Use electronic media and English 1-developed courseware to teach English efficiently and effectively
• Maintain student and class records
• Monitor students development, evaluate student progress, and communicate this to parents
• Provide ongoing guidance for improvement to both students and their parents
• Continually strive for self-development and attend regular developmental sessions
• Assist in the placement testing and interviewing of new students
• Participate in social activities with students organized by the school

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Flexible and proactive
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and passionate about teaching

Indonesian English Teachers: Hold a bachelor's degree (preferably English Education/Literature) & English proficiency level minimum C1

International English Teachers: a passport holder of USA/UK/Canada/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand/South Africa

International English Teachers from outside of the 7 countries mentioned above must hold one of these:

-- Bachelor's degree & a TESOL/TEFL/CELTA Certificate

-- IELTS - 7.5 overall and with a minimum of 7.5 in the Speaking section.

-- IBT TOEFL - Overall score of 102 with a Minimum of 25 in Speaking

-- Cambridge C1 Advanced - Minimum Grade B (score of 193)
