Role Description

The English Conversation Partner role is a part-time position supporting learners who use fondi to practice and improve their English.

In this role, you will:

• Build your own community in fondi
• Invite local connection to to join your communty
• Engage in live, avatar-based conversations, guiding users through structured and casual dialogue to build fluency and confidence.
• Conversation Partners may also provide suggest learning activities, and collaborate with the team to enhance the overall user experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide clear, supportive English conversational practice
• Strong communication skills, including active listening and culturally sensitive interaction
• Capability to offer basic translation support when needed to aid understanding
• Communty management skills to create a positive, motivating learning environment
• Near-native or native proficiency in English
• Comfort with remote work and reliable internet access
• Experience with online language learning platforms or tutoring is a plus
• Interest in intercultural exchange and working with learners from diverse backgrounds
