Job Description

POSITION INTRODUCTORY:

Engineering Manager leads engineering teams to ensure the successful, cost-effective, and timely launch of new assembly programs, overseeing process development, equipment installation, and quality validation for manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, tracking project timelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical guidance to resolve problems and improve productivity in assembly environments. An knowledge of PLC, inverter, and HMI (preferred) is added advantages.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering their growth and providing clear direction for projects.
  • Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of assembly projects, from concept to launch, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and timing targets.
  • Process & Equipment Oversight: Develop, implement, and validate assembly processes, equipment, and tooling for optimal manufacturing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including product management, operations, and suppliers, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Manage the department budget and delegate resources effectively to achieve project goals.
  • Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems on production machines (such as mixing, filling, sealing, laser marking, and packaging machines).
  • Ensure all electrical installations in the factory comply with safety standards (SNI standard).
  • Analyse and troubleshooting electrical failures on production machines, control panels, and factory electrical systems.
  • Diagnose electrical faults at both machine level (PLC, inverter, motor, sensor) and power distribution system level.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems, panels, and production machines.
  • Verify safety features (emergency stops, interlocks, grounding systems, surge protection) are functioning properly.
  • Record inspection results and carry out corrective actions when potential issues are identified.
  • Support energy-saving initiatives and optimize machine electrical usage.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fluent in English verbal and written.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • S1 in Electrical Engineering/ Electronic / Electro / Mechatronics or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an manufacturing industry (preferably in electronics / FMCG / automated packaging & production machinery).
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, and automation sensor systems.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams & machine manuals.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and factory safety procedures.

  • Automation Packaging /Production Machinery Knowledge will add more advantages
