About The Role
This role is responsible for supporting customer Technical Services requirements with a strong emphasis on Stewardship of Digital Product during site trial and site implementation including site readiness auditing, change management, blasting, training, reporting, project analysis report and maintaining clear lines of communication with customers around while ensuring delivery of measurable value to customers and sustainable revenue to Orica.
What you will be doing
- Adhering to & being proactive in site safety promotion
- Developing Customer Technical Relationship
- Customer needs and business development opportunity identification.
- Analysing blast measurements and assessing performance against a baseline.
- Preparation of differentiation product and services offerings.
- Managing product / service implementation projects (project management).
- Developing case studies, paper, or research.
- Product application stewardship.
- Training and accrediting customers and other Orica personnel in Orica courses (Variant Digital of Product)
- Products and systems knowledge.
- Digital Product Training and Mentoring for digital product user.
- Operations personnel and Graduates training.
What you will bring
- Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
- Good Blasting Knowledge.
- Adept at using all Orica software and tools.
- Good communication skills.
- Well-developed understanding of mining processes and key drivers.
- Competent with general drill & blast designs process.
- Competent in pre and post blast measurement and assessment techniques.
- Logical progression from Blasting/Technical Services Engineer
- Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in the mineral resources industry, preferably through multiple sites and commodities
- Project Management
- Drill & blast execution experience.
- Ability to undertake complex blast designs and troubleshoot customer concerns.
- Able to risk assess different blasting approaches.
- Certificate in training and assessing or equivalent.
- Good understanding of Mining Safety Management System Aspect by always prioritizing Safety Value.
