We Are Looking For
As an End User IT Engineer, you will deliver reliable, secure, and responsive end-user computing (EUC) and workplace IT support in a mission-critical data center environmentensuring smooth daily operations while meeting PDG's safety, access-control, and security standards.
You will partner with Operations, Facilities, and Corporate IT, follow ITSM and change-control disciplines, and provide on-site and remote support for users including 24/7 shift teams.
Your Job Responsibilities
- Provide L1L2 EUC/workplace support (laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, collaboration tools).
- Support users in a 24/7 operations environment, including shift-based data center teams.
- Log, triage, and resolve incidents/requests in the ITSM tool, meeting SLA targets.
- Execute onboarding/offboarding (device setup, access provisioning, asset recovery).
- Image, configure, and deploy endpoints (primarily Windows); maintain device standards.
- Manage endpoint security and compliance (patching, AV/EDR, disk encryption, policy baselines).
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and lifecycle records.
- Support AD/Azure AD administration (accounts, groups, basic permissions) and identity-related tickets.
- Troubleshoot MFA, VPN, and secure remote access for on-site and remote users.
- Apply least-privilege and access-control requirements, especially for data center users and systems.
- Provide on-site IT support within secure data center spaces, coordinating with Facilities and Operations.
- Plan and execute site IT activities in controlled areas in line with SOPs/EOPs and site rules.
- Perform basic user-level network troubleshooting (LAN/WiFi, DNS, connectivity checks).
- Comply with safety, security, and change management requirementsno shortcuts.
- Maintain support documentation (SOPs, knowledge articles, FAQs) and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Identify recurring issues, analyze root causes, and recommend process/tooling improvements.
- Support audits, compliance checks, and internal IT reviews as required.
Qualities You Should Have:
- Diploma or Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years hands-on end-user IT support experience; data center/critical facility/industrial/24x7 environment preferred.
- Strong Windows 10/11 support and Microsoft 365 user support (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint); basic AD/Azure AD administration.
- Experience with ITSM/ticketing (Incident/Request/Change); good understanding of endpoint security and patching.
- Exposure to VPN/MFA/remote access, basic networking (TCP/IP, LAN, DNS), and MDM (Intune or similar).
- Experience working in regulated, high-security, or access-controlled environments.
- Customer-first mindset; able to support both technical and non-technical users.
- Calm, structured incident handling in operational environments.
- Disciplined adherence to SOPs/EOPs and change processes.
- Clear communication and strong documentation discipline.
